Lauren (Lilly Melgar) has achieved everything that a girl can wish for – a perfect fairy-tale life, residing in a serene mountain community with her husband and two children until disaster strikes one day. In a split second, her children and husband are taken away from her. Filled with despair and guilt, she deteriorates to the level of a destitute in Los Angeles. Lost and sans any hope, she meets Angela Washington (Tony Small), a rank stranger with whose help Lauren finds strength and hope to move on.
