The Great War, Part 1 - "On the Idle Hill of Summer..."

This BBC doc from 1964 is actually pretty awesome, and more even-handed than the narrative commonly taught in schools. Be surprised that Germany is not the Borg! Be shocked that countries other than Britain existed in 1914! (I also highly recommend Hew Strachan / Channel 4's "The First World War" series.)
